Exploring the wine and spirit world asside of this all. Allow me to explain a bit on how I score. These are based on personal enjoyment. Quality & 'in style' are part of that enjoyment, but won't totally make or break a drink, if I myself have a different opinion. Whiskey : Rated on the website 'whiskeybase' ( account Kraddell ) Wine : Rated on the App / Site 'Vivino' ( Account named Kraddel . ) <-- with the dot. Still searching a medium for other spirits, so those aren't online for now. If you know anything, let me know ;) For all mediums, the score is decided like this : 100 : Absolute perfection. Must have sampled it at least twice, and be mindblown twice. 90 - 100 : absolutely amazing. I'd like a drink like this anytime, even if it ain't the cheapest. 80-90 : Very damn good. It'll depend a bit more on the price - but this is probably one to seek out. 70-80 : better than average . Will likely enjoy again if it's priced compeditive. 70 : Average score for anything with alcohol . // 50 : The absolute middlepoint ( pure H2O ) Anything with alcohol beneath 50 is simply not worth drinking (seriously, concider your liver) // 05 : The absolute, final downpoint . Songs shall be written about how this attack to the tastebuds has started a rage within, killing inocent bystanders for no apparent reason - other than the fact my life is ruined by drinking this. On the other hand, it's kinda interesting to try something THIS bad, so you should probably seek it out ! As you can see, I use the FULL scale , and a rating of 70 by myself isn't bad at all !

Pours dark browned red. Scent is full, intense, chocolate like. Nice ! Taste is full, itense chocolate, milder but present maple. Red fruit, but melowed down by the previously mentioned. Very complex and intense. peppercorn in the aftertaste. Lovely !

Pours dark redbrown. Scent is very dense, less specific than nr's 2 and 3.
red fruits, bit blended in to a wholesome whole. Taste is full, intense berry juice, fairly alcoholic, but not unbalanced. Not as nut (cashew) forward as I had hoped. Still pretty lovely though.

Pours dark redbrown. Scent is intense, spicy coffee. Taste is full, quite balanced. coffee is there, but not nearly as prominent. Intense berries. Thick body, intense smooth sweetness, touch bitter by the coffee. Lovely !

Pours dark browned red. Scent is içntense, dense berry compote, mild cinnamon. Taste is full, sweet, intense and dense, higher alcohol, nice maple syrup, mild on the cinnamon. Fruit compote greatness. Lovely !

Pours slightly unclear blonde. Medium white head. Scent is mild hops, medium intense BE yeast. Taste is medium . Expressive BE yeast ( to much for the beer). Hop aroma is present and pleasant, but very mild and not even remotely big enough for the yeastyness. Medium body and carbo. Meh. Slick, overly yeasty estery finish.

Whisky Symphony Gueuze from Brouwerij Eylenbosch (2019 - ... )

Pours a deep, darker amber. Clear, solid, very stable, relatively large white head. Scent is mild, some oak (no clear whisky thouhg) some brett. very silent. Taste is pleasant, got a much older taste than expected, mushroomy almost, old oak. Whisky isn't something i would have recognized. Remains very calm, fairly silent, easy drinkable. Lower than expected carbo. Mild funk, very low acidity. I do really like the lower carbonation. I'm enjoying the flavors it has, I just would have liked them (way) more pronounced. Main 'issue' for me is that this does at no point relate to whisky (or whisky barrels) to me, I honestyl would have believed it (if tasted blindly) to be more around perhaps madeira barrels - which is a very good thing according to my taste, but not so much for expectation vs delivered.
