Next to beer, I have a big passion for Ice cider, Mead, and Sherry. Exploring the wine and spirit world asside of this all.
Allow me to explain a bit on how I score. These are based on personal enjoyment. Quality & 'in style' are part of that enjoyment, but won't totally make or break a drink, if I myself have a different opinion.
Whiskey : Rated on the website 'whiskeybase' ( account Kraddell )
Wine : Rated on the App / Site 'Vivino' ( Account named Kraddel . ) <-- with the dot.
Still searching a medium for other spirits, so those aren't online for now. If you know anything, let me know ;)
For all mediums, the score is decided like this :
100 : Absolute perfection. Must have sampled it at least twice, and be mindblown twice.
90 - 100 : absolutely amazing. I'd like a drink like this anytime, even if it ain't the cheapest.
80-90 : Very damn good. It'll depend a bit more on the price - but this is probably one to seek out.
70-80 : better than average . Will likely enjoy again if it's priced compeditive.
70 : Average score for anything with alcohol .

50 : The absolute middlepoint ( pure H2O ) Anything with alcohol beneath 50 is simply not worth drinking (seriously, concider your liver)

05 : The absolute, final downpoint . Songs shall be written about how this attack to the tastebuds has started a rage within, killing inocent bystanders for no apparent reason - other than the fact my life is ruined by drinking this. On the other hand, it's kinda interesting to try something THIS bad, so you should probably seek it out !
As you can see, I use the FULL scale , and a rating of 70 by myself isn't bad at all !

Pours NEIPA-level hazy blonde. Small white head. Scent is dry, green , herbal, earthy fruityness. Underripe assumption, but i'm not too familiar with the fruit so not sure on that. Taste is full, tart, citrussy acidity, more of the green kiwi vibe here than the aroma, astigent (grape) like finish. Lambic fairly mild, accept for the acidity, compared to the fruit aroma that's very loud. Thick mouthfeel for a lambic, with medium low carbo. Not bad at all .

Pours a amberbrown, fairly dark yet clear. Medium sized, off white head. Imediate aged beer scent - in a good way, even from a distant, loud notes of toffee, caramel, dark malts. Up close, chestnut, chocolate, bourbon barrels. Less dominant on the age factor up close. Taste is silky smooth, very rich, sweet, mild banana yeastyness, under a huge bourbon barrel flavor (yet not too boozy, FW is master in this! ) oak, dark malts, (milk) chocolate, earthy, caramel, and quite a bit of toffee. Warming finish. Very smooth experience. After 9 years, this is nothing less than impressive. Mild vanilla from the bourbon. YES ! FW , man, what a brewery.

Pours a deep and dark pruprle, pinkwhite, very stable head. Bottle opened with a big pop, mild gushing, so foam was big at first (bottle might have been slightly to warm) but it goes down to a respecatble, medium-small sized head that stays very stable. Scent is intense on the cherries, but only medium loud overall. Lambic a bit to the background. Taste is definately sharp and acidic, not over the top, but noticably. Lots of cherries, even 'fleshy' by the fruits. Very malty finish. The subtilties of aromas within acidities are a bit lost beneath the acitiy and the cherry. Carbonation is high, but not tóó high just yet. pretty damn solid one, again. Herberg really keeps making positive surprises, don't they ?

Pours clear blonde, medium small, yet reasonably stable, white head. Scent is earthy, grape forward, with typical lambic funk underneath, oaky, slightly brett, no real acetic acid or anything. Balanced, but perhaps not the full grape aroma I had hoped (they are second use, So i suppose the peels have more room here than the juice)
Taste is tart, fairly dry, medium high carbo, Brett and oaky notes quite strong. Grapes are pretty present, perhaps not AS characteristically as the Oude Pinot Gris, but certainly enjoyable for what it is!

Pours a very light strawyellow. Medium sized, fast fading white head. Scent is very generic NA IPA. Taste is a tad more earthy, mildly more bitter than the generic ones. Still, pretty sweet undertone, bland and forgeteable. OK

Pours a thick, jet black. No foam. Scent is that typical greatness, chocolate sauce, relatively mild on vanilla (I expected way more personally). Taste is full, roasty, sweet, mild vanilla. the base is all the greatness you'd hope to get, some alcohol heath (bourbon barrels, seemingly?) , thick chocolaty maltyness; thick body, low carbo. Ends quite boozy. Sweet, unapolegetically so, but not in a negative way (to me) . Quite damn nice, but not nearly as much of vanilla as I expected. perhaps since this has 2,5 years on it ? Still, amazing base, everything I personally hope to get in a stout.

Pours clear blonde, small fast to instantly fading white head. Scent is earthy, early-harvested (or so it seems) grapes. Petrol aspect is there, lambic funk clearly noticeable. Taste is fairly sharp, medium acidic, earthy, vegetal grape notes. Not very recognizable on the specific grapes, which is a bit of a surprise after the greatness provided in the Oude riesling A L'ancienne. Mild funk, medium acidity. Medium carbo. OK.

Pours clear blonde, meidum sized white head of low stability. Scent is brett, oak, not very geuze-forward to me, also not AmLam style per se (yes I know this isn't american) , more like one of those heavy brett-forward, yet usually very pleasant, geuze imitations you also find in the US, or other countries outside of Belgium. Looks like this might be an enjoyable... lets call it 'brett-euze' ?
Taste showcases a refined acidity, to the level that is indeed very lambic / geuze like, not over the top, and fairly complex. Citrussy, very bright, woody, brett-forward but not one sided at all. High carbo and dry mouthfeel. Yesyesyes, this is the path to follow! A bit harsh in the throat in terms of acidity, nothing truly unacceptable, but when comparing to geuze, you're opening yourself up to be critisized on the details. I very much agree with the way they described it themselves, a geuze-style beer (aka not a geuze, but inspired on one) . Also I do get the citrussy notes ( lemon and grapefruit, they say - coudln't agree more). A very respecfull, and respectable, '4 year spontaneous blend' . Enjoyable to drink, interesting to taste !
