Draft at the Blackheath brewpub. Poured a clear light amber colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is popcorn, tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, grassy, light herbal, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Draft at Zerodegrees, Blackheath. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head and plenty of champagne bubbles. The aroma is yeasty, herbal. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a light, fresh, crisp, yeasty, herbal, light grassy citrus, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Not far from the Observatory, a huge, modern looking restaurant / brewpub on two floors plus an outdoor rooftop garden. The brewing equipment is located at the back of the building. 10 of their beers on tap and a small selection of cans. Friendly and helpful service. The beers I’ve had so far are decent but a little on the sweet side. Working WiFi. No flights sadly, but tasters are available.

The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, toffee malt, light citrus, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
