I didn't like the old Pudel, and I also didn't really enjoy this place. A dozen or so taps, but not a very interesting taplist, and no flights. They will do 0.25L pours and free tastes, but I couldn't find much of interest here. Might be worth popping in to see what the taplist looks like, but I wouldn't recommend prioritizing the place.

Another beautiful Põhjala bar, this one closer to the old city. 20 taps, but unlike the main tasting room, the taplist here is roughly equally split between Põhjala and guest beers. Flights of 5x0.1L pour also available here, for €16. None of the big sexy Põhjala beers at this location on tap, but that is partially made up for by the interesting guest selection. Service is friendly and quick. The place is beautiful, comfortable and great place to relax. A great spot.

Very close to Põhjala's main tasting room and primarily stocking North American cans and bottles, though there are some interesting European imports too (from Croatia and Romania that I saw). Since this is an imports place, prices are very steep. Expect to pay €10-12 per can of US/Canadian IPA and through the roof for big BA beers. Not such an attraction to me coming from Canada, but a cool place nonetheless.

Beautifully designed, top-notch gem of a taproom a little bit outside the centre but easily walkable. They have a store selling bottles to go on floor 1 and the taproom/restaurant on floor 2. They had 24 taps, with custom flight of 5 x 0.1L pours for €15, which includes any of the heavy/BA beers, thus being a pretty good deal. Of course, you come to Põhjala for the big beers and they did not disappoint -- I enjoyed all 5 I tried. The lagers/IPAs I was less a fan of. Ordering is at the bar, and service is very quick. Mandatory stop when in Tallinn.

On tap at Uba ja Humal, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is full of rich bourbon, bready malt, toasted Zl caramel, and some fermented out brown sugar. Flavour is much the same, with a nice rounded, smooth bourbon character, toasted caramel, and bready malt. Sweet but not cloying, and nicely expressing of the barrels. Very nice.

On tap at Uba ja Humal, pours a hazy dark, muddled amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma is rich, with deep candi sugar, white chocolate, booze, and of course rich honey nectar. Flavour is rich and complex, with deep candi sugar, rich honey nectar, a hint of white chocolate, and booze. Sweet but not cloying, and the carbonation oddly helps the drinkability. Really well-constructed. High-quality as usual.
