On tap at Green Bench, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light grassiness and crisp biscuity malt, but I’m straining to get much. Flavour is crisp, with a nice gently bitter, crisp, grassy hop character, and a crisp biscuity malt. Great hop expression and well-constructed. Very nicely done helles.

On tap at Gulfport, pours a cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. Nose is fairly muffled, with an earthy, armpit-y hop character. Flavour is not any better, again showcasing a rather tired, sweaty hop expression. Not egregious, but there’s nothing pleasant about this.

On tap at Gulfport, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma has a nice clean piney hop character, with light citrus, and soft biscuity malt to back. Flavour has assertive, clean piney hop upfront, with a touch of resinous oils, and a solid biscuity malt base. Nice piney expression, good balance; very good westie here in the east.

On tap at Gulfport, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly laid back, with just a bit of sweet honey malt. Flavour is much the same, with a strong honey malt and dry biscuity malt character. Not particularly interesting but it’s clean and drinkable, especially for a stronger honey blonde. Okay.

On tap at Grand Central, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has gentle coffee notes and soft earthy malt. Flavour has a deeper espresso character, with some earthiness, light roast, and a touch of dark cocoa. Good espresso depth, decent malt base. Solid.
