Enjoyed on the train to Luxembourg. Pale yellow and hazy. White head. Tangy fruits, tropical, mild oat sweetness. Sharp metallic at the finish. Medium to light body. It’s fine.

Medium amber with a tall beige head. Candied fruits, grassy, a bit of spice, dark malts, citrus. Medium bodied. Pops in a festive way while the malts drive the warmth. A good one.

Deep Purple with a pink head. But horse blanket, oak, tart, earthy, tart blueberry. Medium body. Finish is very dry, acidic, and earthy. Very nice.

A deep red. Still. Very dry. Raisin, tart, a bit on the wild side. Oak, a touch of cherry pit. Finish is acidic and lingers. Quite an experience.

Orange with a thick white head. Citrus, pine, sweet malts. Very throwback style IPA with big hops, a bitter bite, and a distinct malty backbone that gives it strength without overtaking the beer. Very solid.

Black with a tall tan head. Roasted malt notes, pine, citrus, burnt malt, a bit of dark ripe fruit, grassy. The hops are rough and ragged with no soft edges- just how it should be. Medium bodied. Finish has bitterness and burnt notes that keep it like drinking the edge of a rusted out car door. Spot MF’ing on.

A small taproom in a lively area of Puerto de Santa Maria. A few seats inside but mainly seating is outside under a nice canopy. It’s located in the center of a courtyard so can be a touch tricky to find if not aware. Most beers on tap are theirs which range from average to above but rarely anything to floor ya. Still, never had a bad one. A single cooler has guest bottles/cans and skew trendy and Belgian (I’ve seen Cantillon and that’s nice). Bar snacks but nothing crazy though I’m sure you can bring in food. It’s a very solid place. Nothing necessarily to go out of your way for but also worth a pint or two if visiting the area.

Black with a thin dark head. Big malty notes, booze, black pepper, baking spice, chocolate, faint raisin, earth. Full bodied. Finish is warm with spice. I wish the booze was rounded off just a touch but it’s not a deal breaker by any stretch. A big, bold beauty especially in the winter months.
