BlackHaddock Profile - Brewver (Dev)

330ml can from Beer52, poured into my Gordon, thistle shaped glass in my garden on 20th July 2026, early evening. Black bodied, tanned roof, looked fine. Dark and bitter chocolate aroma and taste, not much else going on really, it's also a bit 'thin', not much 'spice' with the chocolate.

330ml can via Beer52, brewed in the EU. Almost clear golden pour, white crust on top, Looked happy in a La Chouffe tulip shaped glass outside in the early evening sunshine on 20th July 2026. Just driven back from Devon and needed a beer, this did the business nicely. Malty front with a decent hop centre, easy and pleasant to drink.

I had the real one (7%ABV) back in 2023, this is a watered down variant that is awful to be honest. Drank it at home on 17th July 2026 after being at a beer festival, this was 'go to bed' beer. Wish I hadn't bothered! It's from Beer52 and I even used my special IPA tasting glass for it (se picture).

Keg pint at the Wrekin Inn on 17th July 2026. Hazy light golden body, dull looking with a white crust on top. Mosaic hops all over the place, so loads of tropical and citrus fruit esters and flavours, too much for me (almost).

Gravity pour, half pint at a beer festival in the Pheasant, Wellington on 17th July 2026. Black with a tanned head. Chocolate maltiness from the start to finish, bit thin but very drinkable,

Gravity poured half pint at a beer festival, Pheasant Inn, Wellington on 17th July 2026. Clean and clear light golden body, white crust on top. El Dorado hops doing their thing, so it's tropical fruits with citrus juices of the sweeter kind (not grapefruit or lemon). I like this series and the original Stairway to Heaven.

Gravity poured half pint at a beer festival, Pheasant Inn, Wellington on 17th July 2026. Bright, clean and clear golden body, white roof on top. I'm no expert on 'American Cream Ale', but this seemed alright to me, slightly hoppy, slightly malty and slightly refreshing and almost interesting.
