Hand-pulled half-pint at the Pheasant Inn at their Beer Festival on 17th July 2026. Light golden body, white head that gave off some decent lacing. Krush hops trying to do their stuff, a bit watered down though.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Pheasant Inn during their Beer Festival on 17th July 2026. Black with a tanned roof. Burnt malty aroma taste. Peat Bogs came to mind.

440ml can with a Picnic Chocolate Bar, my nightcap and supper late on 16th July 2026, turned out to be rather a heavy drinking day! This was poured into my lovely Gordon thistle shaped glass a couple of times and it looked great, dark bodied with a beige crown on both pours. Liked it a lot, creamy and sweet from start to finish. Obtained from my local Morrisons, some deal on Brew Dog cans, four for the price of three or something.

440ml can, a Fathers Day present, cheers Ben and Steph. Love the artwork on the can. Drank on 16th July 2026, at home. Orange body, hazy look, white head that soon became a weak white crust on top. Citrus nose with an orange and peachy flavour, grapefruit like bitterness later. Nice!

330ml bottle from Percy Throwers and drank in my garden on 16th July 2926. Looked fine in my old dab glass, clean and clear golden body wispy white head after the initial billowing fuffy topping. No aroma and very little taste really, refreshing enough but not flavoursome or interesting.

500ml boxed bottle (#01825 of 14300) from my local Waitrose store. Poured into an old Abbot Ale countryman pint glass straight after England lost to Argentina in the World Cup semi final on 15th July 2026. Clean amber pour, off white head. Caramel/malty nose and initial taste, orchard fruits and an overall sweetness takes over mid sip.

33cl bottle in the afternoon sunshine in my back garden on 15th July 2026. So wanted this to be good, sadly it wasn't. Light golden body, clean and clear, but there was no head at all after ten seconds. It just seemed a little bland and old (it was well in date (BB 10th March 2027)); lacked oomph and direction.

33cl bottle, brought back from Italy by my friend Shirley (on a cycling holiday). Drank at home late on 14th July 2026 after watching Spain beating France in the World cup semi final. Poured into my Gordon's thistle shaped glass, it looked fine, red hue to the amber body, sadly the beige head fell away very swiftly. Malty with a caramel sweetness, not unpleasant, but a little one dimensional in my opinion.

33cl can from Beer52, drank in Auntie Sue's garden straight after it's bitter brother on 14th July 2026. Dark brown with a fast fading beige head. Malty with a dark chocolate nose and taste. Preferred this one to it's bitter stable mate.

33cl can from Beer52, drank in Auntie Sue's garden on 14th July 2026. Dark brown body, beige roof. Bitter chocolate front with the bitterness becoming drier as the beer level shrunk.
