Robust cask stout using a massive blend of speciality malts. Chocolate malts for a milk chocolate, Belgian Speciality Malt for a complex richness and a gentle dry hop of Blema creating roasted coffee and sharp cacao slick bodied pint. Smooth, creamy and satisfying.

Cask gravity at the lower red lion. A jet black coloured pour with a lasting loose dark tan head. Aroma is nice singed pine sap, liquorice, earthy roast. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rich dark malts, dark chocolate, char, singed pine tips, liquorice. Lovely hoppy roast.

11/4/2026. Cask at the Isle of Man CAMRA 13th Beer & Cider Festival. Pours fine. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, nut, vanilla, ashy, hint of plastic. Medium sweet, light to moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, smooth, soft carbonation. Wasn’t dastardly.
