Visited with Margie and Auntie Sue on 1st August 2026. Nice old Black Country Inns, multi roomed with a large patio out back. Usual interesting selection of interesting cask ales you find it this company's pubs, three of their own beers and nine guests when we went. Two bars adjoining, so the staff can move freely and get beers from the lounge and bar rooms. TV screens tell you what beers are on. 5 new rates for me, so more than happy.

Visited on Saturday afternoon, 1st August 2026 with Margie and , Auntie Sue . It's a basic wood laden old shop with a bar at the far end, a fridge to the right with bottles and cans, all German or Belgian. A few steins hang off one wall and there are some bench's and tables inside and with one table on the street. Pleasant vibe, with a young lad serving who was friendly. Interesting tap selection, German, Belgian also beer from Uiltje and Bavaria (both Dutch).

330ml can at Tuefuls Bierhaus in Stafford on 1st August 2026. Sat outside by the road as inside was too full. Clean golden body, white head that tried to stay but failed in the end. Decent enough Helles I suppose, no real strong aroma or flavours, just a refreshing beer in the afternoon sunshine.

Hand pulled half pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 1st August 2026. Bright light golden body, white crust. As the name suggests this a citrus flavoured beer with the hops ruling the roost from start to finish, luckily there is a bit of malt action to calm the hops down a little.

Hand pulled half pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 2st August 2026. Clean and clear light golden body, neat white roof. Citrus nose and bite, refreshing and pleasant, slight earthy finish.

330ml bottle, drank at home on 31st July 2026. I was going to share it with Margie, but she didn't like the taste, so I ended up with most of the bottle. Clear golden look, no head. Had to dig deep to find any coffee esters or flavours, strange brew but not as exciting as I hoped for.

330ml can from Beer52. Drank at Auntie Sue’s on 31st July 2026. Looked good, clean bronze body, off white head. Malty front, centre and back, nice semi sweet toffee/caramel base, light hop content, but enough to stop the malts taking over completely.
