330ml brown bottle from a European store in Orange County, Southern California and drank at my daughters on 17th March 2026. Cola brown with a beige head that disappeared before it arrived, it's got some 'fizz' though. Aroma and taste of sweet Rye bread, it's quite pleasant actually, but glad I didn't buy any of the larger bottles that were available in the shop.

Hand pulled third of a pint at the Crown, the Spoons in Berkhamsted on 15th March 2026. Clean and clear golden body, white crust. Good crisp feel to the citrus bite and bitterness. Decent!

Visited on Sunday 15th March 2026, with Margie, Shirley and one of her sons (Andrew). Just two cask hand pulls and two banks of keg beers to choose from, plenty of ciders, gins and rums though. Cosy and old with a very limited menu. I liked it, the females not so much, it's a bit grubby and well worn in places. We sat in the second room and were at little squashed. It's a throw back to older times, which is why I liked it.

Third of a pint at the Crown (the Spoons in Berkhamsted) on 15th March 2026. Red hue to the body, beige roof. Malty and semi sweet with a decent hop kick, dark berries also in the mix flavour wise.

On tap in The Crow Bar, Orange County on 11th July 2014, I had no idea it had an Austrian heritage when I ordered it, I just wanted a Pilsner to quench my thirst and cool me down. It did both. Nothing special about it, just a refreshing beer with no real flavour or depth, in fact a typical Pilsner in all aspects, golden with a white crown, very little aroma or taste.

Hand pulled half pint at the Crown Inn, Oakengates; 13th March 2026. Black bodied, beige crust on top. Hoppy with burnt malts trying to take away the piney bitterness, interesting!
