Hand pulled half pint on 21st May 2026, in the Waggon and Horses, York. Guess the colour of the beer; it's got a white head too! Floral and light citrus notes to the aroma and taste, lacked oomph, but was OK.

Hand pulled half pint at the Waggon & Horses, York on 21st May 2026. Pleasant look, golden with a white crust, slight citrus leanings in both the nose and taste, refreshing and easy to drink.

Last pub on our three day York Pub Crawl. 15 different pubs visited, 13 new places for me to rate (we visited some twice too). Myself, Margie and six mates; 21st May 2026. Up market finish to our mega crawl. York isn't a cheap drinking city anymore and this places isn't an exception (Spoon's or Sam Smith's being the better value but lacking in ticks). Anyway this place was OK and we all could sit together, which made a change as well.

Day three of our York Pub Crawl, visited here with Margie and six mates on 21st May 2026. Quirky place really, three levels? With the bar on the second one, loads of cask and keg options, plenty of new ticks for me. Pork Scratching's are a thing here too.
