The only serious beer place in Kralupy, I'd say, and thankfully a good one - Kralupská pivoteka, is in a quiet side street by the train tracks, with several tables on the inside and 3-4 or so on the outside. A huge chameleon mural dominates the interior, but your eyes will immediately go to the 4 or so full fridges (one for their own brewing project, Chmeloun, others for other breweries), and the 6 taps. 4 Chmeloun beers on tap, one from Matuška, one from Obora - quite solid. Excellent metal playlist in the background - Cemetery Gates and so on. The lady behind the bar did her job pretty well, but my first and only major gripe popped up when I got my first beer. The Bohemia 12 might be on the sweeter, less hoppy side of the Czech pale lager spectrum, but I wasn't expecting a clear case of dirty tap infection - so the taps weren't cleaned and/or I got a splash of what was in the tap since yesterday. The same happened with their KraluPol polotmavé - shame as it seemed great otherwise. Thankfully, the other 2 beers of theirs on tap (K-Ale and Aussie Koale) were completely clean, no issues with that. I mean, come on, just let the first bit run off... Some locals trickled in slowly over time - and one gentleman came in to pick up snacks and 3 PET bottles, sadly as I realized I needed to pay and leave to catch the train quickly, but thankfully I made it in time, even getting some beers to go. Shame it's mostly big bottles, hope more breweries move to canning... Anyway - the prices were good, and this is a very good place overall, if in town, or able to stop for an hour or so, a worthy pit-stop, and gotta support a place like this!

How to get here:
-get out of the train station and turn left, passing the clock/street light thingy with pictures of how the street looked before being bombed to oblivion, then, when you can, turn left again and go through the underpass. Follow the path basically forward, taking the path alongside the train tracks until you hit it.
