Marko Profile - Brewver

Visited for the Springfest 2025 with the other MVP homebrew judges/organizers (MVP both as Moravská vernisáž piva and its actual meaning ofc), on the edges of the old industrial zone in the northwestmost suburb of Olomouc - Řepčín. Twinberg started in 2022, having poached a brewer from Helf, and then, the current one, Vlasťa, from the Blazen na čepu brewing project. They got an old dilapidated industrial building (check it out on old Google Walk), and, mid-2023, renovated it fully. It's actually a pleasant location, surrounded by green partly, and was suited fine for the fest - there are plenty of tables on the terrace and below it. Modern decoration inside, with a big window towards the brewing equipment, some of which seems a bit DIY, but does its job fine. The brewery tour (run by the friendly brewer) is normally pretty short due to the one-room layout, but they are expanding - downwards, where they have plenty of unused space, and where the lagering tanks will go. And that's a good sign, as Twinberg's solid quality is being appreciated it seems. The fest was packed as well, but on a regular day, it's plenty I'd guess. They have 8 beers on tap normally - 7 of theirs and a cucumber non-alcoholic lager from, I guess, Thrills this time. 6 beers are on side pull, 2 on normal taps. No issues with the state of beers on tap, but though not all were winners, the level was pretty high and no outright bad ones (well, let's not count the cucumber thing). There's n/a options for kids & drivers, there's a kitchen, not working that time, but seemingly modern pub food from some pics I saw. The service was busy but efficient really, and the brewer did the tour well . Well worth a detour if in Olomouc with plenty of time - and it's not that far away from the center to be fair, just time your buses right.

How to get here:
Bus 20, less preferably 18, and maaaybe 12 if you're west of the center, to the delightfully semi-run down and weirdly set up Řepčín, železárny station - I would guess it was formerly the end of the line and got more passengers due to the ironworks. Oh, and 20 goes on to Chomoutov so combinable with Chomout if it still works.
