I don't really tick much nowadays. Still enjoy a decent beer just as much, along with the community that Ratebeer originally built. I've not moved to that popular app and never will - It's become a monopoly which is having too much influence on today's craft beer scene.

This is a charming little place with a varied tap selection and some crazy import bottles and cans. Look up the name on Amap to find it, but even then it’s not easy. You go down some steps and then off to the side down a tiny dark alley between buildings. I had to ask advice from a couple of ladies sat near the entrance. What you’re rewarded with down here is tiny little buildings, nothing like what you expect from Chongqing. And even then, you would expect it to be full of tourists but it’s not. Go for both the place and the beer.

Now this is a lovely little place in the old city of Kashgar. I expected to get a bottle of the local Wusu at best, but don’t let the name fool you, they have a full on craft beer menu. A step above the normal in these parts. IPA, DIPA, barley wine, an imperial stout, a wild ale and even something that translate says is “tomato carrot squid’. I think I’ll pass on the later. Still, WTF? Guys you know where we are right?

It also happens to be on a particularly photogenic little street with loads of outside seating and some nice chill live music.(just a guy singing with a guitar).

Of course you pay more for these craft beers but the prices are very fair.

If you happen to be in Kashgar and like a decent beer, don’t miss it!
