I don't really tick much nowadays. Still enjoy a decent beer just as much, along with the community that Ratebeer originally built.

I've not moved to that popular app and never will - It's become a monopoly which is having too much influence on today's craft beer scene.

Bottle from Rams Supermarket, Bay Road at my hotel in Basseterre. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast, light coffee and vanilla. Definitely has more bitterness to this one.

Bottle at my hotel bar in Basseterre. Straight from the bottle as is always the way here so no idea what it looks like. Aroma is cocoa powder, fudge, milk chocolate. Pretty sweet but pleasant enough.

Bottle in that slightly dodgy drinking area by the bus terminal in Basseterre, St Kitts. One thing I like about this area is there’s chickens wandering around everywhere. Like pidgeons where I’m from. They’re literally just running around everywhere. Anyway, I wasn’t even going to bother ticking this but everyone around is so why not. Trouble is it kinda smells like piss around here but that’s not the beer’s fault. The beer is shite though. You’re better off with a Carib.

It still holds true, that fridge at the back had 3 different Nevis Peak beers when I visited. 5USD a can. So basically a must stop if you’re on a cruise and can’t visit the (pretty good!) brewery on Nevis.

It’s bigger and fancier than I expected from the first and only craft brewey in the country. Nice venue, open air of course, in an area clearly developing fast for tourism. Beer quality was above what I expected, and I tried all 6 on tap when I was as there. Spoke to staff, one of the owners and the brewer. All good people. Food was not cheap but was certainly good. If you’re coming to St Kitts and Nevis and not on a cruise, you’d be crazy not to visit

Draft at the source. Near black with a tan head. Super roasty, coffee, dark chocolate, caramel and light fudge. Medium bodied. Decent.

Draft at the source. Hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma is huge mango juice with malty beer behind. Not my cup of tea this one.
