I don't really tick much nowadays. Still enjoy a decent beer just as much, along with the community that Ratebeer originally built.

I've not moved to that popular app and never will - It's become a monopoly which is having too much influence on today's craft beer scene.

Tried this at a restaurant in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture sitting opposite some monks from the local monastery. Of course the beer is nothing to write home about, but beggars can’t be choosers in these parts.

A wonderful little place close to the Drum Tower but down a quiet small road. While the taps aren’t extensive, they are well varied from a decent IPL to in imperial stout and other stuff between. It’s a pretty small but bright bar area, with a little enclosed courtyard out front. Friendly (though of course a translation app is mostly needed) and so keen to give samples that I actually had to tell them to stop 😂 Some interesting cans and bottles in the fridge too. They clearly care about what they’re doing here. Surely the best in the city for craft beer and I can’t believe I found this in this city.
