There’s a whole load of craft beer places in this massive city, but for me this stood out as one of the places with some genuine atmosphere. It’s within a Hulong and not obvious to find but the Amap location is good - don’t give up! You have to spot the small non descript doorway to the beer garden and the small bar beyond. It seems it’s lively on any night of the week, with a nice blend of locals. expats and tourists. The beer quality is decent enough and it’s worth taking note of the happy “hour” until 7pm where it’s 2 for 1 on certain beers marked with a star on the menu. Don’t expect anything but beer, though I see locals getting food delivery here. There’s no soft drinks or anything like that.great place though, really full of life as opposed to many place here that are unfortunately too big, modern and dull. Bonus points for its charming courtyard smelling like Cantillon on these sultry summer’s evenings. If you only go to one place in Beijing for beer, make it this one. This is the real Beijing and the beer is good.

Floral, yeasty, light citrus and malt. I really expected the worst but it’s actually pretty decent. Bonus as it was free, a local lady ordered it on 2 for 1 happy hour but didn’t want 2 so gave it to me 🙂
