Panda thanks to Cloin. A light haze on this orange gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Light palate, good fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Cooling pine, juicy hop fruits, bright, a little Motueka lime. Juicy finish. Trace of hop spice on the close. Nicely hop fruity.

Can. Just a light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head that doesn't last that long. Airy smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Light smooth pale malts, a light but forward creamy sweetness. Talus hops up front with soft pine and a pleasing soft tangerine - mandarin - nectarine and peach. Mild mild skunk and a little hop spice on the light finish. Tidy, do like me some Talus.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Airy palate, decent fine carbonation. Mild pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Hops bring tangy Nectarine, not quite sour but on its way, a little ripe pineapple. Soft cooling pine and a little nibbly hop spice. Light citrus and touch of candy fruits. A little more hop spice on the finish. Different but decent.

Light pale malts, fairly sweet. Nice hoppage, albeit confusing. You could be forgiven for thinking there is Sabro and this brew! Must be the enigmatic Eggers as there is good Citra orangey fruits and a slice of Motueka lime. Crisp cooling pine and a little hop spice add to the fun. Crisp finish. A tiny bit sweet but a very pleasant affair.

Hops bring cooling pine, rounded orangey citrus fruits and a whisper of Nelson grape. I think PI have done far better DIPAs.

Can. Hazy orange beer, small and short lived cream colour head. Fairly smooth up front, the palate is mildly dry with good fine minerally carbonation coming through on the back end. Airy pale malts, a fairly forward creamy sweetness that has a slightly milky edge. Hops bring crisp cooling pine and a mild edge of bitterness. Even milder hop spice. Hop fruits round out nicely with floral mandarin and tangerine, mild peach and a touch of guava. Crisp finish. Slightly left field but, it won me over in the end.

Can. Clear deep amber beer, a decent tan head but it doesn't last. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation on the back end. Revolution barrel aged barleywines seem to have an inherent rightness to me. This one is no exception. Smooth rich malts, a little malt cream and rich slightly singed darkish toffee caramel, none of it candy but rich and all grown up like. The Rum barrelling tastes expensive which given the price of this beer, so it should! Rich fruity rum but oh so smooth and none of that high ester malarkey. Some sort wet wood and a light oak induced vanilla round everything off along with a some mild alcohol spice. I'm entranced by these Revolution ba barleywines. So rich and right and hence, so bloody drinkable!

Can. Near clear gold beer with a small off white head. Light minerally crisp palate. The malts feel slightly thin bodied and deliver a very modest sweetness. Very much in the West Coast style. Crisp cooling resinous pine. Bitter citrus peel and juicy resinous citrus. Touch of bitterish ripe lemon. Light finish leaves a mild bitter linger. Not badat all.

The sextet of hops bring a delightful array of lupuline goodness. Juicy bright citrus and stone fruits. Lesser Motueka lime and Nelson grape. Some modest kiwi exotics. A mild hop spice nip. There are nice streaks of bitterness and skunk running throughout along with the ubiquitous cooling pine. A densely flavoured dipa that drinks very light. Rather good wot?
