SaltyGrog Profile - Brewver (Dev)

Bottle from Press online. Shared in Chapel Hill at George's house with the RB chats crew, minus Dave & GoT, who suck.

Translucent, slight protein haze, tall head.
Sour & tart, twangy nose. Earthy with a twinge of white grape & veggie.
Bittersharp, hard sharp, strong acid, saline, apple seeds, lingering sharp apple skin without a ton of tannins.
Crispy, pettilant, light lime, parched mouth.

Not quite my thing but I enjoyed this. 7.2

Bottle shaded by George & Sam in Chapel Hill. Got the dumb basket out & everything. Gracias.

Murky, dark cherry, lingering lace.
Dense dark cherry, macerated, subtle spice nose.
Thick cherry skin, fleshy fruit, peach acidity, savory spice, bit of crayon, kinda weak nuance; just dense cherry. Amazing cherry & white pepper thing going. Over time it didn't develop much but surprised how fruity it still is.
Prickly carb, lovely tolerable acidity, bittersweet essence lingers.

First time having Pepe.

2014 Bottle via Shiggy Shig in Chapel Hill at George's place. Awesome.

Opaque, dirt brown, expectedly flat pour.
Slightly spent, Cheerios, nutty & dark chocolate nose. Still opening up.
Serious m&m candy feels, sticky toffee, sweet tobacco, candy shell, heavy cream. Hits on flavor.
Zero carb, lux, not cloying, not much burn.

Interesting.

Bottle from a bottle shop outside of Dallas, where this guy used to nomad brew.

Dull, somewhat hazy, pale amber orange.
Honey, creme, saltine nose.
Oxidized, honey Cheerios, bark, creme.
Starchy, good carb, medium acid, way past its prime.

Hazy dark amber brown in a plastic cup at a work thingie.

Odd cranberry & chocolate malt nose.
Malty bruin, sloppy line mix. Nice dark bread roast, odd tartness, good dry chocolate on the finish.
Crispy, frothy, thin, pH is way off.

Dirty lines.

On tap for a work event outside of DC.

Dark amber, nice froth.
Lemon, toast, orange dank nose.
Malt forward, black tea, orange, herbal bitter finish.

Meh. Tongue is done with IPAs for tonight.

Traveling for a work thing. Need beer.
Unexpected hazy. Changed the listing.

Medium gold, frothy.
Sweet orange & herbal, inviting nose.
Sweet orange, lemon lime middle, juicy, a little candy, bright until the end with maybe some c hops installed.

Great.
