Bottle via Press online & their fall bottle club box.

Lo-ball glass at home after a week in the fridge. Drank half a night ago & enjoyed it too quickly to review.
Pale gold pour, quick sizzle of head, just a bit of haze vs the clean first pour.
Nose is saline, weak ginger ale, bitter melon rind, sharp apples, mild bubble gum & sidra funk, tiny bit of musk.
Bittersharp most of the way. Sour plum, juicy with moderate tartness, lemon, even veggie funk, some woodiness & overall spice on the lightly yeasty entrails. Hard acid & medium sharpness, some minor pith astringency, decently big belly burn. Decent but uneven bubbles. Dry but not completely.

Overall this is pretty sharp & punchy. Probably would have rated it stronger yesterday. Good+.

Single from Appalachian at a very reasonable $4.95.
Inky black pour, russet edges. Lingering pale brown ring of lace after a beautiful cascade.
Sharp & velvety malt, pecan sweetness, dense but muted nose, hint of varnish.
Thin & dense impy stout, old wood, pleasant oxidation, burnt raisin, sharp dates, burnt veg, lingering medium tea astringency. Strong molasses, big soy sauce notes. Off-sweet ending off-dry, acidy, sharp & bitter.
Overall body is a touch light, sharpness high to on point. rich & boozy, thin & bitey.

Hot but tasty.

Pounder via Local 604. Mojito glass at home.

Quick sizzle, very magenta, concentrated grapefruit juice, very light haze.

Slick, lots of unfermented honey, lime acidity cuts it some.
Sweet n sour grape, lime peel, sugary essence, bubblegum, no muscadine funk. Thick. Slight tartness saves from being a mess. Would be amazing dry.

Tolerable flavors, nothing great.

Clear 750 via Press Online($22 before discount). Descriptions on the internet of this new to me berry: "kinda good" "okay" "multiple harvests" "emergency food source". Press had more positive words.

NV - No Vintage, though their own website has a 6.9%abv edition.

Clear mojito glass at home. Pours a peachy rosé, shy soda head.
Floral & very spiced nose, gum & subtle cranberry laced with apple cinnamon juice box.
Taste is sharp apples, lingering sugar for a semi-sweet feel & rounded botanicals. Old world herbs & serviceberry for that dark earthy sweet plus almond combo. Tastes like there's a boozy component. Finish is slick. I think its sweetness is distracting. Apple is definitively sharp, mildly tart & adds some skin astringency to keep up.

Fun to try new things.
