Nestled among brick buildings is Trillium’s taproom… in a brick building. There’s a terrace outside and inside a fairly large, minimalist bar. Plastic stools and high tables. The beers are, of course, top-notch. There seem to be 34 taps (+ beers in cans to go). No flights, but 5oz pours were available. The place itself isn’t really my style, but a must-visit for the beers.

This was Tree House’s pop-up bar in a small park. Next to it is a shopping center with a Tree House store, but no beer service there. You could buy beers to go from the store, including Tree House’s beer bundle (a mixed pack). Nice. Four taps, plastic cups, and park benches. Super fresh IPAs. What could be better.

A rather stark-looking low brick building. The interior is simple, with colorful brick walls and stone floors. In the same space is also their Pepita café. Apparently 13 of their own taps. A four-beer flight is available ($14, either a set selection or customizable). Strong hipster-student vibe. The beers are mostly quite good. Worth stopping by on a Cambridge beer crawl.

A low gray building, inside which you’ll find a modern-looking brewery with stone floors, bluish walls, and wood. Dogs are allowed inside. It has that classic “neighborhood hipster brewery” vibe. Relaxed atmosphere. A five-beer flight is available ($20). 16 of their own taps. No food, just snacks. The beers are quite good, so it’s worth visiting.

A street-side taproom. Inside there’s light brick and wood. 16 of their own beers on tap. For $14 you can get a set (non-customizable) five-beer flight. The beers varied from weak to quite decent. The brewery specializes in all kinds of herbs and such. On a Chicago beer tour, it’s only for the long list.
