Quite a bit bigger than expected, checkered floor, lots of red and big new brown wood looking bar. Quite spacious, friendly service, terrace and events seem to happen. They have a house beer on tap which I didn’t check out but specials available from more old school breweries like Rolling Hill and Circus. Nothing great or essential but definitely something different. Decent coctails, quite some bourbon and a few less common bottles next to trappist, De La Senne etc. Sandwiches and classical BE pub food like spaghetti Bolognese available. Nothing essential but a nice one to hit when you’re at Dagenraadplaats.

It has been a long, long, long time since I have been aware of this store and finally visiting. Easy to hit if driving and close to the highway but otherwise nope probably? Friendly owner and a highly impressive collection of beers well curated including chilled in fridge for hoppy beers etc. There’s a growler and a deep selection, friendly guy. Wine and local products too, had to stop myself from buying too much, outstanding stuff just really not nearby for me.

Green exterior, darts up front and you need to pass people playing to go to the toilet! Long bar with lots of liquor bottles behind, split into two parts, cramped and popular. It looks like you would expect this type of “Irish Pub” to look like with rock music playing. Plenty of taps with lots of macro (Guinness, Grimbergen etc.) but also 2 beers from the local caft brewery Bon Poison including a house beer, Tuilerie, Galibot and Galia so shockingly better local beer selection than expected, fun to check out some local beers.

Central shopping street, 4 taps, had a Dois Corvos, 4 tables and open quite late for a shop but no chilled bottles. Best selection in town by a long way. Big selection of French and foreign craft (Belgian, Czech, Latvian etc.), good prices and friendly service, no brainer first stop in town.

Basement bar, cellar vibe, quite full and mind the ceiling with a big terrace. It took us a while to figure out how to order or what the menu was, they were a touch understaffed but quite friendly. Limited wine options, cocktail was okay but a bit messy, macro taps plus 3 local craft beers of which two Gallia, pretty okay for a beer.

Quite big with lots of pillars, tables all over the place, bit awkward, both big and cramped, almost a bit like a Delirium bar. It happened to be Octoberfest when we visited, appropriate clothes, German party music and Weihenstephaner Festbier and Hefenweizen. The selection was not very interesting beyond Wiehenstephaner on tap. They have all kinds of bigger Belgian beers bottled, less interesting for me but if you want Belgian beer great. I had fun for sure and the service was very friendly.
