This place seems to have a history as a local for UK EU workers in the past, visited during WK so busy with seemingly expats. It’s an too modern interior Irish pub of sorts, didn’t check their food, they had their own beers with the IPA being Troubadour Jack’s Precious as seems to be tradition now, not too menu interesting beers but enough screens when visited. The best part was that a pint of the said IPA and other draft beers were 5 euro if I paid cash between 16 an 19 which is peak Brussels, love it.

Yeah I forgot why this was on my list and didn’t get one of their own beers despite looking at it but wanting a guaranteed good beer. Their own beers are on there but not advertised, solid list of local beers, Battin doesn’t surprise me, loads of places have it for being cheap. It was the most packed place I visited in a warm summer day due to families bringing their kids to play in the fountains. Interesting coctail list, it’s out of the way for someone not living in Brussels but it might warrant a second visit. Nice interiors and okay service.

Absolute ghost town when visited, the person working in the kitchen took my order and poured my beer and probably cooked my food. They have their own beer with zero information obviously as to where it is brewed, the ipa was about doable. The vegan burger was sad and overpriced but okay, this place felt like the definition of acceptable enough, not good but not bad enough to be memorable either. Friendly service though.

Interesting place but bad interesting, online reviews spoke of owner kicking out people, I arrive and he’s busy kicking out people for taking too long to drink their coffee. Hilariously surly service but there is a good and bad cop situation here with the woman working here being actually quite friendly. Beer list is pretty much worthless, some well priced food but wouldn’t take the gamble of eating here, saw someone really struggling with their sandwich. It’s pointless to go here with Brussels best brewery Mazette in my opinion being around the corner. Chaff across the street has food and better service and all better.

There is a large duty free entering and existing where I struggled with multiple bankcards. Prices may be a bit cheaper existing but not by much, still worth the effort. Leaving Iceland, you apparently can recoup a lot of the tax. Some other places to buy beer too but at standard prices, it’s a very beautiful airport, checking out the drink’s selection is a bit must when going into Iceland given also the opening hours of the monopoly stores.

Mikkeller Bar Rekyavik is no longer, long live Mikkeller Bar Rekyavik. Bakken is their importer and, their merch, logo and style is all over this place, the beer selection except for Kaldi is theirs too. Prices not higher than elsewhere in town, way warmer inside than anywhere else, friendly service and no other visitors, people seem to skip this place for whatever reason. Sandwich menu had sandwiches named after the likes of Napalm Death, Pestilence, Venom etc. which was bit of a contrast with the bad pop inside. I doubt it’s anyone’s priority to drink Mikkeller in Reykjavik but I found it a decent stop.
