Bottle from Beer Merchants. It pours clear very deep brown with a bubbly white head. The aroma is huge bourbon character, bourbon soaked oak, toffee, peanut brittle, vanilla, toasted coconut, rich and meaty, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, toasted fruit cake, molasses and whiskey fudge. The taste is smooth, slick, bitter - sweet, vanilla fudge, toffee, toasted coconut, so much bourbon it, rich and warming, plenty of dried fruits, raisin, sultana, dried fig, toasted fruit cake, Scottish black bun, pleasing booze, malt loaf and some nuttiness with a slick and warming finale. Fulsome body and fine carbonation and slick mouth feel. Lovely depth of flavour and balance. Moreish.

Can from BD online. It pours slightly hazy yellow with a bubbly white head. The aroma is tangy, salt & vinegar crisps, pickled onion, soft tropical fruits, apricot, mango, damp grain and kitty litter. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, puckering, salty edge, slightly savoury, lactic, some pickling juice, damp grain, grape must, gooseberry and some stone fruits with a dry finish. Average body and carbonation. Crisp, tart and refreshing. Not OTT. Good summer quencher.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours lear golden with a white cap. The aroma is fresh, tropical fruits, passion fruit, lychee, watermelon, mango, orange sherbet, touch dank and weedy. The aroma is crisp, firmly dry, decent bitterness, green, weedy, dank, herbal, damp rope, pithy, zesty and waxy grapefruit peel with a drying finish. Light body and soft, fluffy carbonation. Decent session pale. Would like to try the cask version of this.

500ml bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear yellow with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, mellow, sweetish, biscuity malt, toasty grains, weak lemony citrus and leafy malts. The taste is crisp, dry upfront, zingy, lemon peel, lime, toasty grains, grassy, leafy, slightly soapy and fragrant florals with a drying finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. A touch soapy perhaps. It's ok, but the weakest of the bunch.
