16 oz. Can. Very pale gold, clear, with a low, wimpy head. Nose is rice and bready malt. Light citrus. Flavor is bready malt, biscuits, rice, light citrus and herbal hops, rather strong bitterness that just about saves the day. Really a silly style of beer that shouldn’t exist.

12 oz can from Wegmans. Hazy pale gold with a low head. Bright citrus hop nose. Grapefruit and mandarin orange, crackery malt. Light crackery malt, rather dry, citrus hops. Light body and a dry finish, rather bitter. Easy drinking stuff.

Can from Wegmans. Deep orange to amber, slightly hazy, with a low, fine head. Nose is mandarin orange, grapefruit, bready malt. Flavor is massive sweet grapefruit and orange, bready malt. Very fun, well made beer that tastes great and teaches a lot about malt and hops.

Bottle from Wegmans. Shocked to see this. Pours a dark brown with orange tints and a tall. Rocky head. Nose is caramel and fruity esters, apple pear, orange, brown bread. Flavor is malty and sweet quite fruity, with some burnt caramel and bitter hops to balance. Body is medium to full. Not as well done as their Maibock, but decent enough.

12 oz can from Wegmans. Pale golden color, slightly hay, with a low, fine head. Bright citrus fruits in the nose, with a tropical touch and clean bready malt. Crisp, clean hoppy flavor, grapefruit, orange, pine, some spice, unripe peaches. Light and crisp. Good clean ipa.

500 ml can from Wegmans. Deep gold with orange and a medium head, fine head. New style. Biscuit malt nose, fruity esters, orange, stone fruit, touch of dough, warm white bread. Bready, malty, rich, ends up dry and quite bitter. Body a bit light for the style. Overall not completely clean tasting. Nice to get a modern style Munich festbier though.

Tap at a seafood restaurant in Malibu. Deep amber orange with a medium head. Nose is C hops, caramel, pine, a bit of plastic. Flavor is sweet caramel and dull citrus. A very old style IPA with no pep to it.

500 ml can. Pale amber color, clear, with a tall head. Typical smoky nose, without the malty depth, caramel or chocolate nites. Quite bitter and dry, smoky of course , with bread and crackers. Light body. Overall impression is Dry and bitter and lacking the sweetness and depth of the Marzen. Good, but not as enjoyable.
