First of all the Red Rooster Inn attached to this place is fantastic. An old hotel recently completely redone. I stayed here the night and would recommend it for someone looking to have a weekend away. Now to the brewery. It''s in the basement of the hotel. Again everything looks nice but that's about the best they have going. The beers are homebrew level at best and the food is just typical bar food. Everything is ordered at the bar if you can get the bartenders attention away from their phones then they text you and you have to go pick up your food yourself at the window. There is another brewery in this very small town , Opera House Brewing. Maybe stay at the inn and walk the two blocks and have beers there.

Pour is a complete black with a large mocha head. Aroma is sweet toasted malt and dark fruit. Flavor is a semi sweet chocolate malt with a little caramel with no alcohol felt. Finish is sweet chocolate malts. Like eating some semi-sweet morsel chocolate you use for chocolate chip cookies. Tasty and I like the 10oz bottle for this big beer.

Pour is a dark amber with a large tan head. Aroma is sweet molasses and a little smoke. Flavor is brown sugar and molasses. Some dark fruit show up with some spruce follow up. I agree with the Belgian dark listening here. Very much like a Dubbel with dark sugar covered fruit and a heavy rich malt.
