Draft at the Dice Bar, advertised as brewed by Augustine Brewery. Dice Bar website says that it's contract brewed at Trouble Brewing. So who knows if this is the right place to enter this rating? Anyway, the beer I had was dark brown with a beige head and solid lacing. Earthy coffee grounds aroma. Dry earthy coffee flavor. So there

(Bottle 50 cl) Irish stout is much more than just Guinness. Pitch black - of course - and brewed with the rather unusual ingredient: Irish moss! Three types of barley and - surprise - wheat. Dry and bitter as stout is supposed to be. But also with somewhat refined notes, something slightly perfumy and pleasant. 141200

Black color. Solid and balanced Stout, with good notes of malt, roasted malt and coffee. Quite high bitterness.

Almost black with a brown head. Aroma of fruit, winegum and liquorice. The taste is dominated by liquorice. Nice one.

A black beer with a light brown head. It has a slight aroma of smoke. The flavor is dominated by smoked malt with a good stout"y bitterness - but the flavor vanishes fast. An OK stout - but it doesn"t have enough taste to be really great. I can"t taste the moss.

To be fair - if I could re-rate this today, I doubt that a 4.7 would the outcome. But once upon a time I loved it.
