Bottled 3/2/20, 233/480, drunk 12/21/22. Clear, dark mahogany-tinged ebony. Small, tan head, moderate retention. Soy, caramel, vanilla, tons of fruit and some light alcohol vapors, not hot. No excessively sweet character. Solid, classic imperial stout. Soft, malty, succulent, well-attenuated. Some soy, caramel, graham cracker, heavy prune, cocoa and lingering fruity acidity. But acidic, soy-like and some apparent alcohol. But good restraint on the sweetness. Bottled 4/21/2022, #708/900, drunk 2/25/23. Seems pretty close to the 2020 vintage. Again good restraint on the sweetness. Lots of char and vanilla with dark chocolate and a subtle but increasing caramel sweetness on the finish. Good acidity. Drinks lighter than it is.

Flaska från USA. Litet flaskläckage, men kolsyra kvar och inga fel på den. 2022, 11.2%. Svart med liten nätt brun krona. Intensiv kaffeton, toffee, likörpralin, lakrisal. Mycket bra, väl avvägd.
3/25/21 38 of 760 split 4 ways. Aroma is heavy charr, roasted malt, chocolate. Taste is slightly off, needs more carb. Not what I expected.

Average rate from bottle pours 2021 and 2022. It's an opaque black with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width light brown tight foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong toffee over chocolate and roasted grain. Taste follows aroma with strong toffee, roasted grain, and late dark fruits (less dark fruit in the 2022 version). Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste with late mild bitterness (2022 is a smidge thicker). Overall, taste beats aroma; nice look but feel is a bit thin for the style.

500 ml bottle. Bottle date: 3/2/20... #229/480. Flavor has a lot of charred malts, coffee hints, toffee. Carbonation is really high and throws off the mouthfeel a lot. Flavor is nice however.
Bottle 3/2/20 #229/480 aroma is roasted malt, dark grains, almost too much carbonation. Taste is toffee, dark roast, slightly thin, with an effervescent finish.
