Farmhouse Pale Ale is our American interpretation of a hoppy saison. Belgian pilsner malt provides the base for an abundance of American hops and our farmhouse yeast to shine together in this refreshing ale.

Growler from the brewery. Pours a sparklingly clear light golden color with a huge persistent frothy bone white head. Funky earthy spicy aromas with just a hint of bread. The flavor follows the aroma but ads just a touch of light citrus fruitiness. Great lightly funky brew.

Keg at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. Nice zesty citrus aroma with accents of tangerine, pale bread and light yeast. Light to medium sweet flavor with mellow dough, faint bubblegum, lemon zest, orange. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly crisp to finish with further pleasant citrus notes, some pale and salty bread, yeasty dough. Highly drinkable. Good.

Tap at Alewife, Baltimore - solid take on an americanized saison - hazy gold - thick, soapy lace - aromatic and floral nose, with mild funky phenolics - dry, crisp pils malt flavor - frothy mouthfeel - crackery malts give a firm base for the hop bitterness, and there is a light earthy funkiness to it, along with some light phenols of pepper and plastic (the good, Orval-ish kind) - light balancing sweetness to finish, but it is light, airy.sweetness - the more I drink of this, the more similarities to Orval I see - very nice.

At Macché in Rome. Pours hazy and vivid yellow, huge white long lasting foam. Nose of Belgian yeast, wheat, lemon. The initial sourness in the mouth develops in a range of other notes: yeasty feel, citrus and floral notes. Very balanced and refreshing, this is what I call an innovative reinterpretation of a Classic Belgian style. Congrats! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Mikkeller Bar (Viktoriagade), shared with Skinnyviking. Cloudy golden body. Decent white head. Fair lacing. Pineapples on the nose, lightly spiced. Blended flavour profile of fresh pineapples with discreet notes of spices and caramel malts. Fruit bitter closure. Medium bodied. Good without further excitements (Copenhagen 30.04.2014).
