(On tap @ Witchstock 2018, Toronto, Sept 29/18) Pours a nearly clear red-tinged amber with a small white head. Notes of red wine and some grape, tart cherries and pit fruit, quite ample wood giving a vanilla character, moderate attic-type funk, light caramel sweetness at the core but drying and tannic into the finish. Barrel presence is quite clear. Medium bodied, slick, softly carbonated. Lovely stuff, HoF has impressed me greatly in my limited sample of their wares.
