Reviewed from notes.
On tap at Four Quarters on 08/05/2018.
Into a snifter.
Appearance: pure black color with a slim cap of a little white foamy head which dissipated into oblivion and left no lace
Aroma: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, toffee malts, dark fruits, sweet wood, treacle and a note of vanilla
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted aromas to a sweet to roasty quality; finishes through the chocolatey & dark fruity notes
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; good clean smoothness, nothing distractible
Overall: I say a nicely done impy Baltic porter well worthy of having again.

Draught at Ginger Man, 2/6/18.
Clear, dark mahogany. Deep, dark-auburn highlights. Light tan head fades slowly to cover.
Plain, straightforward coffee-like roast up front with chocolate-caramel-like malts filling in the gaps. Clean, not intensely malty or fudgey, without any heavy roast or acid either. Kind of boring, but very competent and the alcohol is well-concealed.
In the mouth there's a distinct salted toffee chocolate character that is highly enjoyable. On the sweeter side, though certainly not sugary/underfermented. Lots of toffee, salt and plum with light carbonation throughout. Good attenuation but very malty. Cherry vanilla notes linger. As it warms it dries out a bit with pepper and licorice notes emerging. Definitely accomplishes its purpose as a baltic porter, though on the sweeter and stronger side to my tastes. Gains a bit of acidity over time, but could use more.

4 oz. draft at Extreme Beer Fest, 3 Feb, 2018. Aroma of burnt brown sugar, earthy grains and milk chocolate. Flavor is not punishingly sweet. Moderate chocolate in the flavor balanced out by caramelized sugars/vanilla, deep earthy grains / roast. The body is full and chewy. Booze is mildly noticed.
