Tap @ Patricks. Clear, dark copper golden body under a moderate sized, good lacing tan head. Aroma is malty, medium smoked, some caramel and hint of cured meat. Taste has sweet malt, caramel and balanced smoke with some bacon/cured meat. Distinct but not heavy smoked, feels actually quite refreshing. Nice one, like it a lot.

On tap at the brewery. Deep amber colour with a beige creamy head, good retention and creamy lacing. Smoky aromas of roasted malts with hints of molasses and caramel. The taste is less smoky, but shows the roasted, caramel malts with the hops helping balance with a dry finish. Hints of smokiness lingers on the tongue. Well done to not be too rich, syrupy, blending sweetness, smokiness and hoppiness.
