Dark brown with copper highlights and a small tan head that left decent lacing. Toasty malt, bread crust, fig, raisin, cherry and cola. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

First trip to this brewery, April 2019. Caramel amber colour with a beige head, decent stay and lacing. Malty nose, but quite mild compared to their Barleywine. Rich malty taste with a cutting hoppy finish. Pretty dry mouthfeel for the style. A hoppier Scotch Ale that goes down nicely.

This was poured into a thistle.
The appearance was a thin looking hazy brown color with a big transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising to hit a one finger white foamy head that dissipated extremely quickly.
The smell has a light sweet peaty to light caramel malt rushing over a peanut butter flavor, not sure where that came from, but I kept this at proper temps.
The taste was malty sweet through all of the previously mentioned flavors. A lingering malty sweet aftertaste runs into a deep sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat pretty light on the body, for a wee heavy/scotch, the sessionability is super scary. And this is supposed to be an imperial???
Overall, well, this will stand for now, but am hoping I can get some feedback from this brewery on their true intentions on this one. Personally, if you’re looking for a scotch ale in Vermont, I’d tell you to go after Founder’s Dirty Bastard before this, better body and more flavor in that one before this.

650 ml bottle, purchased at Queen City. Clear Amber in color with steady carbonation level. Aroma is English malts that give toffee, toasted grains and bread.

Flavor is spot on the style. Light toffee, toasted nuts, spicy caramel with a mild earth element. Medium in body with a sticky texture / syrup over the tongue. I also get some yeast flavor. Pretty solid as far as the style goes. Nice
