Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy light amber color with medium compact head. The aroma is very fresh, fruity, and piney. Despite the high ABV, the body is very lean, also because very dry for an IIPA; the flavor has some cereally and toffeish malt quality; the hops have a lot to offer too, tropical fruits, some sweet orange, and a dash of pine needles.
There’s some serious good job here. Wonderful.

This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to ruddy yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds leaving some light lacing sticking and then sliding down into the beer.
The smell had some grapefruit sweetness with a decent grassy bitterness blending nicely. Light spicy musty/earthy hops balance.
The taste was mainly the same as the smell. Lingering earthy sweet grapefruity/grassy aftertaste and a semi-dry sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light. Bitterness seems fairly thick.
Overall, decent DIPA I might have again.

22 oz. bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks a lot, Youri), pours a cloudy opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out caramel malt, resinous hops and a little pine. Flavour is well-balanced between the caramel malt and resinous hops -- with a big hop punch, balanced by just enough sweetness. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it executes everything very well. Super juicy on the finish, again with the perfect balance of malt sweetness and hops. Excellent.

Olfactif de houblonnage à cru; gazon herbes, un peu de pamplemousse. Assez unidimensionnel. En bouche: La base de houblons se décline subtilement en fruits tropicaux, en mangue et en fruit de la passion, mais reste très amère.

A hazed golden amber DIPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, smooth fruity malt with light floral hops, citrus pulp, nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, grapefruit pulp, refreshing and smooth. On tap at Crop.
