Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth. Two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt. Hood and East Kent Golding hops.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Malty, caramelish nose. Medium-bodied, notes of caramel and fruit - yet with a dry and hoppy finish. Very clean. Courtesy of Degarth. 120207

Bottle from Porterhouse; Thanks kevin! Nose is very fruity, roasty, caramel malt and some vanilla notes; copper coloroed with a small beige head; flavor has hop bitterness mixed with the caramel and spice. Different in a good way!

Poured a reddish brown amber from the bottle with a thick slightly off white head. Malty aroma, slightly roasted, with a unique hop smell, citrus and fruity, but more synthetic of a hop aroma. Initial flavor is slightly sweet and malty, brown sugar, fruity (apple, orange) with a touch of roasted or chocolate malt. Hop taste comes in at the finish, which is clean. Nice beer, better than I expected.

Dark amber pour with a light brown head. Nose of malt with notes of caramel, toffee and a little cookie. There’s a light aroma of hops, too. The flavor is more sweet than anything else, but not too much so. Dry and lightly bitter at the end. Medium body with adequate carbonation. Thought this was a tasty beer.

Pours bright amber into a trappist glass. Off-white conglomerate head skims surface and subsides. Burnt orange and caramel notes. Creamy with upfront caramel/honey with turns to a lasting bitter finish.

Bottle. Smelled strong with I first opened the bottle. Not heavy, as I thought it would be. Nice hop, and bitter balance.

A hazy orange beer with a small disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet malty and again with the caramel being most dominant.

Thin off-white head; hazy red-amber beer. Rich biscuity nose, like a soft biscuit cake with brandy; dry hops delivering a background, grapey in character. Very hoppy drink with a touch of bitter chocolate, malts, but also chocolate cake. Quite nice and flavoursome, unfortunately not so the finish, which is harsh and thin - just indefinite and long bitterness, with a quaint touch of mint. Quite burnt MF, medium to full bodied, thinner finish and even adstringent. God, how such a promising beer can be ruined in the end. Still, not bad - just 95% USA and only 5% English, IMO.

Deep copper body, persistent medium off-white head. Strong aroma of brown sugar, toast, dark fruit, and caramel. Flavor was quite potent as well with the same components mentioned for the aroma. Alcohol is noticeable but not overbearing. Medium-bodied. I’d drink this again.
