Our American IPA balances a subtle malt character with smooth, clean bitterness and layers of complex citrus zest, tropical fruit, and pine.

Draught at Dorchester Brewing, 9/9/21.
Clear, deep bronze-golden-honey. White head fades steadily to a ring.
Lemony-citrus hops with a dab of caramel in the nose. Creamy-sweet honey with an almost corn-like edge to it.
In the mouth it's got punchy lemon rind alongside caramel-like maltiness. Weird mix. Bit of a syrupy sweet finish. Some sourness from over-toasted malt or over-boiled hops. Unclear which. Reasonable attenuation but could still use more. Lemon acidity growing soapy to almost pine sol-like, on the finish. Not good.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white foam. Pine, citrus pith and pineapple aromas. Pithy and pine bitterness on the palate. Light and dry with more pineapple, peach and citrus flavors. Dry and bitter finish with some mineral notes. Really good.

16 ounce can. Medium gold color. Large frothy beige head leaves thick clinging lace. Faint citrus nose. Brisk citrus hop flavor upfront. Some sweet melon as advertised. Dank, dryish notes in middle. Notes of pine, lime and grass. Long bitter finish and aftertaste. The head and lacing last right up through the last sip.

On tap pour into shaker pint glass at Thirsty Moose, Merrimack. Appearance is clear yellow with mild sparkle, finger-width white head with poor retention and light lacing. Aroma is citrus, dank, piney with malt backbone. Taste is as aroma with mild yeasty tart. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, pretty average.

Can from 7/11 Slightly hazy light golden color with a thin wispy white head that gradually recedes. Sweet bready candy like maltiness with bits of citrus and earth. Decent beer but a bit tto sweet for my tastes.
