Half pour at the tasting room in Kennebunkport, lovely color, deep purple with some pink head. Nose is pretty good, honey sure, but vinous notes, some rose, some cherry and cranberry. Flavor is really dominated by the honey and the blueberry is quite muddled. Reads more berry juice than an actual berry. There is still a lambrusco character that runs through. Finishes sweet and full bodied with a hint of booze.

On tap at the meadery. Pours red purple. Blueberry, red grape, slightly tannic, floral. Medium body. Decent.

740 ml bottle. Clear purple color. Aroma is weak honey, mild floral, no berry at all. Flavor is a tad thin compared to Schamm’s, Kuhnhann, or even Moonlight mead. Extremely weak blueberries. Not sure I am buying anything else from these folks.

Bottle from Kelly and Paul, Thanks for sharing. Deep blue color served still. Vinous with plenty of berry aroma and flavor. Somewhat drier than I usually enjoy but quite tasty.

On tap at HoneyMaker, pours a clear bright pink. Aroma smells more like ros, with very dry honey. Flavour is along the same lines, with lightly sweet blueberries, red wine tannins and subtle honey character. Very light and gentle, with nice balance. Solid.

Sample at the tasting room. This Mead is a purplish-red color with a minimal head and decent legs on the glass. Blueberry and honey in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of sweet berries, floral honey and a bit of apple. The finish is fruity with a blueberry aftertaste. Decent overall.

22.06.2013, 0,75l bottle sampled @ The Festival Portland Maine:
Aroma and taste are both kind of Sangria like. Slightly fruity, red berries, grass, citrus, hints of honey. Fair enough.
