Can from Astoria Bier & Cheese. Pint glass at home. Murky yellow brew. Smell is downright briny. Apples, oysters & oniony mignonette. Taste is tart apples, calcium & softly carbonation oyster juice. Carrot-y sweetness on the finish. Just too much.

Draft at the source. Cloudy pale yellow with small bubbles. Earthy lemon aroma. Grassy herbal earthy apple taste .

Draught at the brewery, 10/21/16.
Lightly hazy, copper-tinged golden body is topped by a fleeting white head.
Medium-sweet apples in the nose also belie spice character from the fermentation; light clove and white pepper. Light tannin, with lots of fruity esters and bright apple notes. Fresh yeast, light earthiness and bright acidity lingering with no alcohol or flaw, nor seaweed noted in the aroma.
Lightly dry character, though with enough residual sugar to soften the palate. White pepper, light tannin and moderate acidity with vanilla, apple and finally, with warming, a touch of salinity that I assume is the seaweed. It’s barley noticeable and you’d never get it if you weren’t looking for it (I’m not even positive I tasted it). But anyways, a fun novelty and the base cider is delicious.

4 oz pour on draft at Meridian Pint. Cloudy pale yellow. Aromas of apple and herbs. Tastes of apples, champagne, white wine, herbs, spice, light tartness, a bit of salt maybe from the seaweed. Light body with a dry finish.
