Sour ALE, also known as sour beer, is a modern type of beer combining both top fermentation and fermentation with lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus plantarum. The addition of fresh tomatoes, tabasco and sea salt to the main fermentation gives the beer a bloody mary cocktail aroma and flavour. On the contrary, hopping is minimal and the beer is only lightly bitter.

Tap at Náplavka. Misty red-amber body, lasting off-white head. Sweet malty, cherry, tomato, bit buttery aroma. Lean, dry, thin taste, bit spicy, bit buttery, some cherries, light heat. The body is too lean, and the flavors quite clashing (maybe putting everything in main fermentation wasn't the best idea?), the celery stick I got with it was tasty, though!
