This beer is light on the palate, has a fresh and pleasant aroma, with subtle bitter notes; it is an excellent choice for traditional Russian cuisine.
Its distinguishing feature is that it is brewed in compliance with the traditional Soviet recipe and national standards of the Soviet times.

A one liter (1 qt. 1.8 oz.) can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours gold with a foamy white head that didn't last all that long. Bready aroma with a bit of hop that might be grassy. Med body or so. Flavor is bready/grassy, tho white grape seems to be in the mix. Fun can!

It looks like the same label but my beer in this green bottle is 4.5%. I hope this is the correct spot. My bottle also makes no mention of zhivoe, what ever that means? Evidently zhivoe in bulgarian russian means zhivoe in english, so there you have it! Anyway, its a nice big green bottle, almost the size of an american pounder bottle. Exactly a half liter for you metric folks, heheh. We go by the old racist king's rule here. First taste is rather civilized enjoyable lager, a little better than most cheap lagers round here. Clear pale fer-sher. Good co2 as well, almost cutting, but not quite. No sign of skunk in this beer! I'm liking this stuff in the middle, especially the label, yea baby! Very pretty soviet girl on the label, copying the Germans I see. Much better than most anything from rinkuski. It looks like date code is brewed on 6/2018 and drink by 6/2019. Oh well, still tastes pretty good. Yes, a very enjoyable example of civilized balltic lager brew, thank you baltika. Big green bottle makes me want to have another. Makes me reminisce about the old rolling rock pounder bottles from latrobe, heheh. Would like to try a fresh one of these bay-beez!!Very funny that on this site its classified as a Light North American Pale Lager, hehehehehhh. Well, maybe its almost as good as Burger Light.

900ml can from Volare Cellars, Mortdale. Big can has a young lady with big attributes on the label. Look out, it's Carry On Ratebeer! Into a pint glass. Pours a crystal clear golden amber with a frothy white head. Light carbonation. Nose of lollies and tin. Crisp and smooth in the mouth. Some light patchy lacing. Taste is neutral, finish is perfumed and sweet (like musk sticks) then lingering tin and vegetables. Just another euro-lager, sweeter than most.

0,9 can. Világos testetlen lager szín, egész normális hab. Illatra kukoricás, bár felirat szerint nem tartalmazza. Emellett azért normális malátás illat is érződik. Kortyérzete jó, jól eltalált szénsav, egész jó kis szomjoltó, rosszabbra számítottam a korábbi nagy dobozos orosz sör élmények alapján. Van egy furcsa utóíze, amit nem tudok mihez hasonlítani, de ha a 9 dl alatt megszokjuk, nem rossz :)
***
Light disembodied lager color, whole normal foam. It smells of corn, although it is inscribed and not included. In addition, a normal malt odor is also felt. His sip feeling is good, well-hit carbonic acid, quite a good little thirst quencher, I expected worse based on previous big canned Russian beer experiences. It has a strange aftertaste that I can't compare to, but if we get used to it under 9 dl, it's not bad :)

[as Baltika Zhigulevskoe Firmennoe Zhivoe, ABV 4.5%] L'intensità olfattiva è un timido profumo, permanendo in maniera appena percepibile.
