A recent offering at the local HEB. Purchased a few weeks ago and I will sample tonight. BBH 07 was tried over the Christmas holidays, let us see how this stacks up comparatively. I lift the lid on the 22 oz bomber and pour into my .47 liter New Belgium snifter, perfect for stouts and porters. The liquid is raven black accompanied by a heroic medium-tan head. The scent is dutch chocolate, berry and wheat. With a drink there is an interesting blend of tobacco, dark chocolate, biscuit, a touch of strawberry jam. Espresso, maybe a hint, nothing overwhelming. Truly better than I recall the 007 tasting.

From bottle at kermis’ b-day tasting at Kwartje. Black with tan head. Massive roasted espresso beans forward. Some green beans in there too. Big roast, bourbon, vanilla, deep roasted chocolate malts. Moderate sweet and strong bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation.

Sampled at Chris' birthday share. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Notes of espresso, bourbon, cocoa, oak, a bit of vanilla, cherry bitterness. Like the bba version, a bit too light bodied and alcoholic, but very different otherwise - very coffee-forward this time.

8 4 8 3 17 Bottle shared at kermis birthday tasting. Black with a tan head. Aroma of huge coffee, espresso, bourbon, oak, chocolate and caramel. Flavour is light heavy sweet. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at Foamhenge. Pours black with medium tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is intense roast, dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, wood. Slick body, roast, dark chocolate, vanilla, brownie, nice booze, enjoyed this.
