Although this is a big beer with pretty high ABV it's still very drinkable. Lots of dried fruit in the flavour accompanied by a soft bitterness. The hop is very well present in both nose and flavour yet not dominating. Finishes with a nice warming feeling in the throat.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is ripe fruits, caramel malt, hoppy notes, candied orange, syrup, grapefruit, resin. Flavour is syrupy sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is medium to full. Malty and resinous with tons of candied/ripe fruits, sweet but alcohol well-hidden. Though you do get the impression this is a heavy bastard, probably the hefty body. Good one.

Bottle, 6 months out of date. Amber with a beige head that fades to a coat. Aroma of dried and stewed fruit, sticky breadcrust, some citrus and woody spices. Limpid palate despite the strength, fruit and caramel. Involving but you'd not guess it was as strong. Or why. The hops presumably have faded but there's still a little citrus and spice as well as a final bitterness.

Bottle. Brown color. Malty, vinous aroma and flavor. Grapes, tannines. Blackcurrant. Sweet, but with a dominant hop character. Alcohol well hidden. Nice one!

KYGG 060419. Dark amber-orange color with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, oxidation, caramel. Flavor is alcohol, roasted malt, oxidation, yeast, dried fruits, grass, toffee, sugar, apricot. Powerful beer.

Bottle. It's lightly hazy in the glass, it's orange-deep golden with a small off-white head. The aroma is malt driven with a piney, fruity touch. Toffee, brown sugar, dried apricot, tobacco and a faint oxidation hint. It's smooth, full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, with a low and appropriate carbonation level. It's sweet, with caramel, brown sugar, dried apricot, tobacco, toffee, pine cones and some grassy notes. Perhaps a bit low on bitterness, but it's completely fine as it is. Lasting finish. Surprisingly little alcohol warmth, and in general very, very nice. 190406

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks zvikar. Hazy orange. Stale piney hops, malt, caramel, alcohol, sweet, some umami. Oldschool. Not my thing.

0.33 l bottle from 'Rudat', bottled in October 2017. Clear, deep reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately fruity and slightly resiny aroma of orange jam, honey, candied apricot, caramel and some pine. Quite sweet, malty, moderately resiny and slightly fruity taste of caramel, honey, orange jam, candied apricot and some pine, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, gently resiny and quite boozy finish. Full body, almost oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very heavy beer, a bit too boozy but a nice sipper nevertheless, has a nice hoppy touch and a saturating mouthfeel.
