Great things are built on a strong foundation. This farmhouse-style saison is the cornerstone of our bottle series, having rested for an entire year developing its layers of unique character. Effervescent and aromatic, Foundation reveals notes of rich seasonal spices, evergreen, and a touch of earthy cellar funk. With a bright, dry finish, it celebrates the beginning of something special - crafted with patience, enjoyed with purpose.

A hazed golden amber saison with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with herbal hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light banana esters, light cloves, herbal hops, light mineral notes. Pleasant.

500ml @ SF (thx, Brian!) shared with Phill and Josh.
Aroma: weird candy/flowery/candied_citruses notes.
Taste: along the same lines, quite bubbly, finishes with noticeable bitterness.
Overall: meh.

A little bit murky, with a thin head. This one is quite phenolic, fairly yeasty. On the palate, it's got a bit of yeastiness, less phenolic though there are phenols in the finish. The malt base is okay, it's a bit dry, and a touch of sweetness.
