Cask at the brewery (Reading) on February 27, 2017. As a half pint.Slight hazy brown color, off-white head. Fruity, sweet, light soapy taste. Soapy aftertaste. Medium full mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Soapy, hoppy scent.

Cask at Great Expectations, Reading. Golden-amber with a thin white head. A little lemon up front then soap and cheap slimy caramel follow. Lightly sharp and sour. Not a pleasant experience. Clearly not in the best condition and possibly infected, but as it was sold in the brewpub itself only a few yards from the in-house brewery, thereโs no excuse and Iโm happy to mark them down.

Cask at the Great Expectations, Reading. Golden amber with a thin cream head; sweet and fruity aroma; smooth and creamy in the mouth, with a sharp fruity taste; but an indistinct finish. A great start, but a bit of a let down to finish.
