Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#17. POOLE. Debunked to the Parkstone suburbs for this one, a darker clear copper-amber ale with a small head. It's a sweetish traditional bitter, which feels less fashionable these days.

On cask at the Waterman's near Ashprington. Aroma and taste of toffee and brown bread. Perhaps a little wood or leather too. Decent body but needs some bitterness to make it properly drinkable. So so!

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Vague caramel and malts aroma. A dark orange amber, verging on brow. Fluffy white head. Light bitter with a sour edge. Berries and... erm... glue. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long finish. Not too keen on this. Odd chemical element to it.

Bottle courtesy of Kermis. Big thanks. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy, short-lived off white head. The aroma is malt, sweet fruits, light toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich fruity, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
