It’s sour, it’s funky, and it bites you right in the palate. If you’re a sour lover, grab a can of Lazer Raptor, Central State’s cranberry-and-lime-tinged Brett sour. It tastes great with other strong, bossy flavors like Thai food and funky cheese. But of course, it’s just as good all by itself, straight from the can. No matter how you consume it, the laser-red brew will wake up your sleepy winter taste buds and give you a refreshing kick of sourness for the springtime.

Super pink coloured body that shows a faint haze, but very crazy pink glowing body with thick, dense, pure pink (lightly creamy, as well) head - about five centimetres tall. Aroma of soured funk, wheat, yeast, bread, tart grain, brett and a dose of coriander seed freshness, as well. Light-bodied; Very funky cardboardie and stale wheat malt finishes with a bit of brett, super dry and herbal notest without any depth, structure, sour or especially purely non-sweet flavours, with more funk than anything else at all. Aftertaste is funky, but very simplistic - dry and very funky with the yeast, bread, dryness, brett and herbal notes that show just about nothing in terms of character of flavours - very underwhelming throughout. Overall, sadly, a very poor beer without a defined style, intention or flavour profile that is all over the map. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop, in Arlingtoon, for US$2,37 sampled at home in Washington on 25-September-2019 while w wrrt

16 oz can from Tavour. Dark pink pour witb fizzy head. Yhe salt comed through in the aroma, pairing nicely with the tart cranberry and lime. Initial burst of tartness at first taste, which fades quickly, leaving traces of lime and a dry mouth.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 12/5/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy reddish/pinkish orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/tangy cranberry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, citrus zest, peach, pear, melon, green apple, white grape, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, sea salt, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy cranberry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, citrus zest, peach, pear, melon, green apple, white grape, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy cranberry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, citrus zest, peach, pear, melon, green apple, white grape, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, sea salt, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from tartness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and lightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.9%. Overall this is an excellent gose! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, sea salt, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink; with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish, not overly lactic. Perfectly balanced fruits and Lacto complexity; solid pale/wheat malts against acidity, not overly salty. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
