It’s sour, it’s funky, and it bites you right in the palate. If you’re a sour lover, grab a can of Lazer Raptor, Central State’s cranberry-and-lime-tinged Brett sour. It tastes great with other strong, bossy flavors like Thai food and funky cheese. But of course, it’s just as good all by itself, straight from the can. No matter how you consume it, the laser-red brew will wake up your sleepy winter taste buds and give you a refreshing kick of sourness for the springtime.

Can from Gambrinus. Pours a hazy rose petal pink with 2 fingers of champagne-like foam that lingers for a bit. Tart nose with some umeboshi and raspberry aromas. Plum, gooseberry and some lactic character on the palate. Finishes with lime. Lives up to the hype! --- Beer merged from original tick of Lazer Raptor on 26 Feb 2017 at 16:23 - Score: 8. Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a clear bright light red with a pink head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a lightly tart cranberry with some sweet light fruits and a hint of lime. Flavor has lots of tart cranberry and a good amount of lime with a bit of wheat underlying.

Can: Poured a pink color Gose with a medium foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of cranberry and tart notes is pretty nice. Taste is a mix of tart cranberry with subtle lime notes and some lactic acid notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation. Solid beer with real good refreshing factor and just enough complexity.

16 oz. can, from StFun, and shared with some friends. Bright purple and red color, with a small, bubbly head. Lots of bubbles, like a soda. Nice aroma of cranberry juice, saltine crackers, tequila, lime juice, and soy sauce. Sweet and fruity, with a sharp, tart, and acidic finish. Light body, crisp, very acidic, with a good bit of carbonation. This is an aggressively fruited gose, and the cranberries add quite a nice aroma.

A pinkish burgundy gose with a thin white head. In aroma, nice mix of Brett, cranberry, Epsom salts, ground cherries, lactic acid, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet cranberry, tart cherry with light Brett, light lactic notes, nice and intense. Can at 3 Floyds, thanks Adam!

Can. A- Cranberry, lime, funky, Brett, tart, plastic. A- Dark pink color, hazy liquid, pink head. T- Cranberry, tart, sour, Brett funk. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, O- Not sure how I managed the first rate on this one. Interesting and good. The cranberry is the star here complimented by a ton of Brett. Most would disagree with me I’m sure but I think it could be even better if the Brett was a lot more subtle. Not getting much from the sea salt and the lime just kind of adds to the tartness. Also normally not a fan of pink brews but this one looks great. Overall, a tasty thirst quencher, but a little heavy on the Brett for me.
