We teamed up with our good friends at Pretty Decent to brew to brew a super juicy IPA showcasing Pink – an exciting new experimental hop. Expect vibrant citrus and stone fruit, but what truly sets Pink apart are its unique undertones of honey, vanilla and apple. We paired Pink alongside Superdelic and Citra so expect Mr Pinky to boast boat loads of sweet red berry, pick n mix and juicy mango.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this orange gold beer, small but tidy bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, a little dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Delighted that someone is bringing these unique Pink hops to the fore. However, pairing with Citra and Superdelic? The honey vanilla aspect is clear enough and a strawberry candy is also evident but quite possibly bolstered by Superdelic. The apple aspect is a little bit lost with the other 2 big hitter hops. A little crisp pine and some juicy citrus on the back end. There is all sorts going on here and it's nice and unique brew but, I just wish some lighter hops had been chosen to accompany, or even no other hops at all. Nice job nonetheless, tastes off the beaten track thanks to the Pink hops and, that's a good thing.

Keg at St Albans beer shop, St Albans, Herts. A hazy golden/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, hoppy, peach, mango with some honey in there and a little berry fruit. Not overly complex but it's quite drinkable on a hot afternoon in Hertfordshire.
