WARNING!!! READ THIS CAREFULLY!!! 750ml (thx, Gene!) most of it which exploded straight in the face of Phill, Farees, Brian, me, and Gene @ Phill's during Gene's visit. Appearance: hazy straw with a white head. Aroma: fruity, funky. Taste: very fruity, sweet, with a lot of anise. Overall: weird gusher.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Biggest gusher ever - 360 degree splash zone that hit all 9 of us - clothes now smell of it, in the eyes, what the fuck - 90% of the bottle lost. Cloudy yellow with no head and some sediment. Feint honey, some saison yeast, very average, but not terrible. The exploding bottle experience will be a story for the history books though...

750mL bottle, explodes upon opening -- lost 90% of the contents!! -- pours an opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma is not as fucked up as expected, with earthy notes, some farmhouse notes, and maybe some butyric. Flavour is very tart, with lots of citrus, earthiness, and some weird funk. For something this fucked up, it doesn't taste as bad. Still, not good.

Full fucking explosion. There was nothing left really. Murky or whatever. Some toastiness. Soft. Yeasty. I mean this was just a hilarious disaster.

Bottled. Hazy deep amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is toffee, mild herbs, spices and some floral tones with mild acidity and tartness to it all as well. Flavour is fruity, floral, some yeasty, mild sourish elements with toffee too.

Bottle. Color: Dark murky brown, huge yellowish white head. Aroma: Pine tree, spicy, eucalyptus, fruity (juniper) berries Taste: Pine tree, caramel malt and dark malt, herbal / spicy rosemary, juniper, juniper berries, light hints of red and dark fruit. Medium body, average to above average carbonation. Light sweetness, very light tart, over moderate bitterness. Dry-ish mouthfeel at finish. A bit too much carbonated, the flavors don't come out quite well in my opinion. Overall typical Fantôme: Complex, spicy, unusual, Saison-ish, interesting.

Cloudy brown colour with lasting head. Aroma is packed with pine and rosemary. Flavour is similar but a little more muted. Hints of dark fruits and dark malts. More interesting than it is tasty.

Bottle, without a cork, which I’m not sure I’ve seen before, from Etre. Moderate haze on a deep copper colour. Decent cap of fairly dense, beige head. Nose has peppery herb. Past it’s best, aniseed like basil leaf. Cake mix. Steeped vine fruit. A tad weird, even by Fantome’s standards. Taste is earthy and a little tart. Plenty of leafy herb bitterness. Medium body. Fairly oily. Foamy carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. Mad.
